Description
As a member of the ARRI M-Series, the M40 is a lensless system that combines the advantages of Fresnel and PAR fixtures. The fixture is open-faced and therefore very bright: approximately 30 % brighter than the AS40 spot. Thanks to the unique, patented MAX Technology reflector, it can also be focused in the Half Peak Angle range from 18 to 52°. The M40 offers a remarkably uniform beam spread, producing sharp shadows over the entire focus range. The reflector characteristics are optimized for 4,000 W lamps, but can also be used with 2,500 W lamps.
The lamp head is equipped with a CCL (Cable Loss Compensation) module. When operating with the ARRI EB 2.5/4 kW High-speed Auto Scan with CCL, full power is maintained to the lamp even when using very long cables. This means uniform high light output regardless of cable length.
